It’s the last week of the semester — Joyce’s Career Tip of the Week

It’s the last week of the spring 2017 semester! I know that it’s a super busy time of the year. Many of you might be facing challenges of having way too many things to do, and possibly even those schedule conflicts when you have to be in several places at the same time.

I considered writing about managing stress. I could go on about how important it is to exercise, eat healthy, get enough sleep, etc. However, realizing how precious time is right now, I decided to keep my message short and share some timeless “words of wisdom” from a few famous people.

“The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.” —Aristotle

“If you are willing to do only what’s easy, life will be hard; but, if you are willing to do what’s hard, life will be easy.” —T. Harv Eker

“I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.” —Thomas Jefferson

“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” —Henry Ford

“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” —Thomas A. Edison

Finally, my favorite, from Sally, Charlie Brown’s little sister: “Studying makes your smarter!”
