The Live @ Generator Lab event series is here to help. On the first and third Thursday from August through November 2017, learn from successful entrepreneurs and startup CEOs, gather with like-minded students to build your venture team and learn new skills to help you on your path to entrepreneurship.

On Thursday, August 24, 2017, Igor Barani, who is a former CEO of a medical artificial intelligence (AI) startup named by MIT Technology Review as one of the Top 50 Smartest Companies in 2016, will talk about his transition from academic medicine to a world of tech startups and his experiences at the intersection of these two very different worlds.

About Igor Barani

Igor Barani is currently a Director of Barrow Artificial Intelligence Center (BAIC) focused on developing and deploying AI-enabled tools to improve patient outcomes and save lives. He was previously a CEO and CMO of a Bay Area medical AI startup that was among the first to apply data science and machine learning to improve clinical decisions. Igor is a recipient of numerous awards and his work has been featured in The Economist, Fortune, Fast Company, MIT Technology Review, and many other sites. He is a frequent speaker at national and international venues on medical applications of AI.
