Welcome! Joyce’s Career Tip of the Week

Welcome to our first-year and newest transfer students! The Fulton Schools Career Center professional staff and our team of undergraduate and graduate peer career coaches are looking forward to meeting you and working with you.

Bonus tips for those who are experiencing our weather for the first time:

  1. Stay hydrated! I am sure that everyone is telling you this. We are serious. Drink lots of water and carry it with you.
  2. The best way to get from one place to another is not necessarily the most direct route. Look for shade and walk through air-conditioned buildings whenever possible.
  3. This is only temporary. Gorgeous weather will be here soon.

Welcome back to all of our returning students! We missed you. We are looking forward to hearing about your most recent accomplishments when we help you to update your resumes.

Initially, all of you are going to be busy adjusting to new schedules, classes and professors. The fall recruiting season will be here before you know it. Campus recruiters are already posting positions in Handshake and making plans to visit campus.

The Fulton Schools Fall Career Fair will take place on September 25, 26 and 27. Rapid resume reviews by employers will take place on three Friday afternoons: September 7, 14 and 21. We are still finalizing our schedule of presentations and office hours. I will be sharing more information with you in the near future.
Have fun reconnecting with your friends and making new ones. Plan to come and see us soon!
