The Innovative Vector Solutions group develops novel arthropod vector trapping and control devices. Under general direction, the candidate will perform electrical construction design work (based on assignment) entailing design layout and plan review and related work as required. Responsible for project management and design. Project management involves taking a project from the initial development of the scope of work to the completed plans stage to construction in order to attain the desired results. May also coordinate and manage projects performed by outside consultants. Work may include the design of improved or novel arthropod vector trapping and control devices, and the design of small equipment to support our laboratory and insectary test facilities. Assigned work projects involve a variety of design work ranging in scope from standard or simple designs to those that are more difficult or complex in nature.
