Community Outreach and Advocacy for Refugees (COAR) is a student organization that focuses on helping and supporting refugees in the area. Twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday from 3–5 p.m.) we tutor refugee students at Crockett Elementary School.

Often times these children fall behind and need extra help, so COAR works with the teachers of Crockett to provide personalized tutoring for them! If you are interested in joining, please fill out the application.

COAR also hosts volunteer events to raise awareness and help refugee families in Phoenix. If you are interested in joining and would like more information, please come to the informational meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, from 44:30 p.m. in MU 206 Copper. If you are unable to attend but are still interested, email, for a meeting recap!
