ASU’s AAIR research group focuses on research towards building safe, reliable and assistive AI systems. The research group has two open positions for enthusiastic ASU undergraduates who have a strong background in AI and are intensely motivated towards conducting impactful research in AI. The selected students will receive a generous stipend supported by the National Science Foundation’s Program on Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU). Pursuant to NSF guidelines, applicants must be U.S. citizens in order to be eligible for these positions. These REU roles will continue for the entirety of Fall ’21 and Spring ’22 semesters, with a start date during the first weeks of Fall ’21.
Successful candidates will get to work on cutting-edge AI research projects in a nurturing environment supported by professor Srivastava and his team of graduate students. Specific technical roles include participating in the development and demonstration of AI for intelligent robots that are safe, reliable and task able.
