Apply for the 2022 Summer Research Internships program by February 1

The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering offers paid summer research internships for qualified U.S. citizens and permanent residents, and volunteer positions for international students through the Summer Research Internship or SURI program.

Students will gain engineering research experience at a top research university and an in-depth understanding of what it would be like to pursue a doctoral degree. Participants work under the mentorship of faculty members from various engineering programs to pursue 8-week-long research projects from Wednesday, May 25, 2022, to Friday, July 22, 2022. They’ll also have the opportunity to attend guest lectures presented by industry partners such as Facebook, Intel and more. Students will engage with top research faculty, attend social and networking events, and benefit from other support services and resources.

Available research projects include both in-person and virtual options.

Students across all branches of engineering are welcome to apply by Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Students between the junior and senior years of their undergraduate degree and those pursuing master’s degrees who are interested in earning a doctoral degree will be given the highest consideration.
