Learn how to become a Certified Spark Facilitator and get course credit this spring!

Starting Spring 2022, we are offering the ASU Spark Method Certification course as a 1-credit course (Session B) for undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in becoming conversation designers and getting certified as Spark facilitators.

In its simplest form, the ASU Spark Method™ Spark is a conversational design tool that allows teams to quickly move from merely discussing a problem to implementing an action plan of ideas crowd-sourced from the team’s collective wisdom.

ASU Spark empowers individuals at any level within an organization to confidently and skillfully approach the challenges they face with the training and tools needed to implement effective change. ASU Spark ignites motivation, lifts morale, and builds a culture of agency where each individual trusts and values the collective understanding that innovation starts with me™. This concept, that creativity and invention live in all levels of the organization, regardless of title or authority, is what drives the ASU Spark Method™.

This 7-week certification course will allow students to become certified Spark Facilitators trained in The ASU Spark Method™. In addition to technical and professional skills, students will get a deep understanding of the Spark Method and will develop applied skills enabling them to facilitate discussions for a variety of topics that range from process improvement, problem statement, opportunity, idea, strategic planning, goal setting, etc.

As Spark Facilitators, students will become conversation designers who have the ability to strategically and quickly move teams from merely discussing a problem to implementing an action plan of ideas crowd-sourced from the team’s collective wisdom.
