Know a high schooler interested in robotics? Enrollment is open for robotics summer camp

A new robotics camp is running this summer, Monday, June 13, 2022–Friday, June 17, 2022, on the Polytechnic campus. Assistant Professor Dan Aukes will be running a camp on “foldable” robots — robots constructed using origami-inspired techniques. Students will work in teams to develop their own foldable robots, while learning the essentials of the design process. Topics covered include mechatronics, bio-inspiration, modeling and simulation, etc., and will result in a Friday showcase for parents. Student kits can be taken home at the end of the week so that students can continue to learn after the camp is finished.

Dates: June 13–17, 2022, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Grades: 9–12 (ages 15+).
Cost: $250/student.
