Participate in a project opportunity with the Innovative Vector Solutions Lab

A student works in the Innovative Vector Solutions Lab at ASU.

The Innovative Vector Solutions Lab develops novel arthropod vector trapping and control devices to collect and repel mosquitoes of medical importance (vectors of diseases such as Dengue, Chikungunya, Zika and Malaria).

The lab is currently recruiting undergraduate students to join our lab to continue the development of our rotating mosquito trap, which collects mosquitoes at programmable times. There is the option to do a Barrett honors thesis.

Motivated students with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering and with expertise in one of the following areas are welcome to apply:

  • 3D CAD modeling and design.
  • Designing circuits and micro-controller programming.
  • Physics.
