Join the Software Developers Association!
Are you interested in software development, networking with driven peers, or connecting with industry professionals? Join the Software Developers Association, or SoDA, the largest Fulton Student Organization at Arizona State University. Proudly active since 2008, SoDA is a student-run organization dedicated to providing free and open opportunities to collaborate on projects outside of the classroom, learn from university and industry professionals and prepare for a career as a software developer.
Software Developers Association offerings include:
- Welcoming industry representatives to host exclusive technical workshops and company information sessions.
- Past invitees have come from companies such as Amazon, State Farm, ServiceNow, DriveTime, Deloitte, Walmart, Garmin, Goldman Sachs and more!
- A flagship event every semester, such as hackathons and bootcamps with exciting prizes.
- Technical workshops on practical topics about software development.
- Fun community socials and networking events.
- Lounge hour sessions to study and relax with friends (food and games provided!).
- Mentorship program for experienced developers and blossoming newbies alike.
- Coordinated and funded trips to external events such as hackathons or conferences.
The SoDA general body meetings occur one to two times a week, and every meeting has free food (and occasionally free energy drinks, thanks to beverage partner, Celsius).
If you are interested in joining the SoDA community, be sure to join the organization on Sun Devil Sync, as well as the Discord server to chat and stay up-to-date on everything SoDA.
