Are you passionate about innovation, global collaboration and shaping the cities of tomorrow? Here’s your opportunity to make a lasting impact! Design the official artwork for Bringing Engineers Across Nations, or BEACON, a summer study abroad program focused on the theme of smart cities for engineering students.

What is BEACON?

BEACON is a global education experience for engineering students to explore the dynamic field of “smart cities.” Through a hybrid format of immersion and online activities, students will engage in advanced courses and projects that integrate technology, sustainability and design to create resilient, efficient and livable urban environments.

Competition details

  • Theme: Smart cities (sustainable systems, transportation, built environment, water, solar, extreme weather and Internet of Things).
  • Purpose: Create a design/artwork that reflects the essence of innovation, global collaboration and the future of urban living for the Fulton Schools.
  • Eligibility: Open to all Fulton Schools students.
  • Visual elements: Consider including icons or imagery related to smart cities, innovation, global collaboration and engineering. A dynamic color scheme reflecting energy, technology and global connection could complement the artwork.

Submission deadline is March 15, 2025.

Prize

The winning design will be featured as the official artwork for BEACON and will receive an award of $500 that will be credited directly to your student account.
