The International Cultural and Academic Meeting of Engineering Students, or ICAMES, is an international academic and cultural project competition that is held annually in May by the Bogazici University Engineering Society in Istanbul, Turkey.

This year’s primary theme revolves around projects that develop innovative systems to save lives in natural disasters. Your projects should enhance disaster resilience and emergency response mechanisms, spanning preventative, structural, logistical and technological dimensions. Your project is encouraged to focus on one or more subtopics related to improvements or innovations — such as early warning technologies, search and rescue robotics or resilient infrastructure — and it should be developed by employing rigorous engineering and scientific methodologies throughout its construction.
