Apply for undergraduate research opportunity with Zhang Research Group by Aug. 31

Join the Zhang Research Group in the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering, or ECEE, part of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University, for a paid undergraduate research experience supported by an NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates grant.

Students will work on cutting-edge topics in computer hardware design including AI hardware accelerators, large language models, or LLMs, chiplet-based systems, computer architecture and hardware/software co-design. The program is ideal for students interested in pursuing graduate school or careers in semiconductor design, computer engineering and AI systems.

What students will experience:

• Work on real research challenges in computer hardware design and LLMs for electronic design automation.
• Collaborate with graduate students and engineering faculty.
• Gain hands-on experience with tools, simulation and prototyping.
• Opportunities to contribute to research papers and conference presentations.

Prior coursework in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or a related field is preferred, but motivated students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
