Attention upper-division undergrads and first-year graduate students: apply for the Los Alamos National Laboratory Summer Research program!

The Los Alamos National Laboratory will be hosting its twentieth edition of the Los Alamos Dynamics Summer School. The LADSS focuses students on the multi-disciplinary field of dynamics, spanning electrical, mechanical, structural and cyber-physical systems from Monday, June 3 to Friday, August 9, 2019.

The students apply their research to creating solutions to LADSS mission-relevant problems defined by LANL R&D engineers and scientists. The program also offers formal technical and career-development tutorials; it is designed for upper-division

Celebrate a tradition-filled weekend packed with fun activities for all Sun Devils: Family Weekend 2018 is almost here!

Family Weekend is for everyone — faculty, staff, students, family members, friends and alumni– and takes place September 28–30, 2018. Be sure to spread the word! All events require registration for each family member in attendance through the Family Weekend website. The Fulton Schools will host events at both the Tempe and Polytechnic campuses.

Apply for graduate research funding for Spring 2019 with MORE by October 11

The Master’s Opportunity in Research Engineering (MORE) is designed to enhance your engineering and technical graduate curriculum by providing hands-on lab experience, independent and thesis-based research. The MORE program operates during summer, fall and spring semesters.

Students in MORE develop an idea under the mentorship of a Fulton Schools faculty member, then apply for funding. Once accepted, they perform research, attend workshops, prepare research summaries, and participate in the research symposium.

Applications for Spring 2019 MORE are due by 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, October 11, 2018.

Registered Fulton Student Organizations are eligible to apply for Fall 2018-Spring 2019 Dean’s Funding by noon on September 12, 2018 for funding to support your organization’s activities that meet the IRA’S standard, and get more connected to the Fulton Schools community.

Student organizations are encouraged to apply for funding for events, projects, and/or activities that meet the IRA Standard:

  • Interaction: encourage student interaction with faculty, staff, or industry
  • Recognition: brings prestige and recognition to the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering
  • Academic: enhance the engineering or technical education of students
  • Student mentoring: facilitates peer-to-peer student mentoring

Proposals must be reviewed and signed by your faculty/staff advisor.

Organizations who have questions about the Dean’s Funding process that are not answered on the Dean’s Funding page are encouraged to contact Cortney Loui, coordinator-student engagement, by making an appointment.
