Do you want to develop your communication skills, leadership abilities and a working relationship with a faculty member? Become a UGTA or Section Leader this spring!
The spring 2019 UGTA application portal is now open to all sophomore, juniors and seniors — complete an application if you would like to be considered, or intend to work as a UGTA or Section Leader again.
The deadline to apply is Monday, December 10, 2018.
Apply to be a UGTA
The Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UGTA) and ASU 101 Section Leader program selects successful undergraduate students to serve as teaching assistants in classes offered by the Fulton Schools. We aim to place a UGTA or Section Leader in every section of ASU 101, FSE 100 and EGR 101 class as well as engineering content courses to assist faculty members with exploratory and collaborative learning activities.
Things to know:
- You will spend about five hours per week assisting a faculty member in the classroom or lab.
- You will enroll in a one-credit online FSE 201: Engineering Undergraduate TA course.
- UGTAs also receive a stipend at the end of the semester
