Are you a U.S. citizen student looking for a way to make a real difference working for the federal government, while also gaining job experience and connections?American flag

There are nearly 600 virtual projects/internships offered through the Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS) program. Students can work on projects that advance the work of government on multiple fronts. Projects include helping counter violent extremism, strengthening human rights monitoring, developing virtual programs, engaging in digital communications, mapping, economic and political reporting, data analysis, graphic design and app building.

 Application deadline is Wednesday, July 31, 2019.

CIDSE Students: Discover the Fulton Undergraduate Research Experience in FSE 294 this fall

Interested in learning about researching as an undergraduate? Take FSE 294: Fulton Undergraduate Research Experience, this fall!

FSE 294 will introduce you to engineering research and the basics of undergraduate research projects through identifying research topics, proposal writing practice, listening to guest lectures and more.

This 15-week, one-credit course taught by Ross Maciejewski is specifically tailored to the School of Computing, Informatics and Decision Systems Engineering and students with no research experience.

By the end of the semester, you will have a two-page research proposal that can be used to actually propose your research!

Additionally, you will learn about FURI, its review criteria and application process, as well as how to fund your research, network with faculty and CIDSE-specific research methods.
