Students work diligently in a classroom full of tools and equipment.Applications are now open for Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and ASU 101 Section Leader positions!

UGTA and ASU 101 Section Leaders improve the educational experience by assisting a faculty member in their program to engage students in exploratory and collaborative learning activities in engineering classes.

We aim to select successful undergraduate students to serve as teaching assistants in a variety of classes offered by the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. UGTAs work in various engineering classes both intro and upper-level courses. ASU 101 Section Leaders work in ASU 101.

The National Science Foundation funds a large number of research opportunities for undergraduate students like you through its REU Sites program.

An REU Site consists of a group of 10 or so undergraduates who work in the research programs of the host institution. You are associated with a specific research project where you work closely with the faculty and other researchers.

The Fulton Schools Maroon and Gold Academic Bowl teams took home first and second place last night, earning around $35,000 in scholarship funding.

The final four teams came down to the two Fulton Schools teams, W. P. Carey School of Business Maroon and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Gold.

First place and around $24,000 in scholarship funding went to the Fulton Schools Maroon Team — Kai Yin, computer science; Peter Reniewicki, computer science; Bryan Ugaz, materials science and engineering; Allan Garry, aerospace engineering; and Enoch Kim, computer science engineering.

The Fulton Schools Gold team — Arielle Matthews, professional flight; Brian Wohlers, engineering; Kyle Xue, biomedical engineering; Geoffrey Wong, computer science, and Brian Kozik, computer science — earned second place and around $10,000 in scholarship funding.

Are you involved in an outstanding Fulton Student Organization? Do you know a student organization leader who ought to be recognized for their hard work? Nominate them for a SOAR award! SOAR is the Student Organization Awards and Recognition Ceremony designed to recognize the accomplishments of Fulton Student Organizations for the 2017–2018 academic year.

Award nominees must be affiliated with a registered Fulton Student Organization in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. Nominations must be submitted by noon on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.
