Apply for undergraduate research funding with FURI by May 1 — deadline extended!

Enhance your engineering and technical undergraduate and graduate curriculum by getting hands-on lab experience, independent and thesis-based research and the opportunity to travel to professional conferences! Applications are now open for Summer 2020, Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 programs.

Undergraduate students can apply to the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative, known as FURI.

Graduate students can apply to the Master’s Opportunity for Research in Engineering or MORE program.

Students in FURI and MORE develop an idea under the mentorship of a Fulton Schools faculty member, then apply for funding. Once accepted, they perform research, attend workshops, prepare research summaries, and participate in the research symposium.

Apply to FURI by noon on Friday, May 1, 2020 — deadline extended!

Digital technologies are the key to realizing this potential, but to date most educational technology has focused on widening access to traditional mastery models of teaching and learning. This presentation will describe how the Center for Education Through Exploration at ASU is working with NASA and others to pioneer new approaches to meet this challenge.

Planning to study abroad? Apply for Fulton Schools Study Abroad Scholarships by February 1!

Applications are now being accepted for the Fulton Schools Study Abroad Scholarship for the summer and fall 2020 semesters! Scholarships in the amount of $500-$1,000 will be awarded to eligible students participating in an ASU Study Abroad program.

To be eligible for a Fulton Schools Study Abroad Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled and participating in an undergraduate Fulton Schools undergraduate academic plan
  • Minimum cumulative ASU GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Financial need preferred (according to the FAFSA)
  • Apply to one of the study abroad programs listed on the ASU Study Abroad website
  • Preference for Fulton Schools exchange, faculty-directed programs and Global Intensive programs

 Scholarships will be awarded once students have been accepted and have confirmed enrollment into an ASU study abroad program. Your completed application must be submitted by the respective application period: Saturday, February 1, 2020. Please contact Kae.Sawyer@asu.edu with questions.
