Attend the NAE Grand Challenges for Engineering Speaker Series, September 5

Join us for our first speaker events of the Fall 2019 semester!

In partnership with the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN), the Grand Challenge Scholars Program (GCSP) at Arizona State University (ASU) invites you to an engaging speaker series, focusing on the fourteen Grand Challenges for Engineering in the 21st Century.

Esteemed speakers from across the nation will come to ASU to share their expertise in their field, discuss the grand challenges our world faces and answer probing questions on what can be done.

Human Systems Engineering and its Role in the Grand Challenges with Dr. Nancy Cooke

In this talk, Cooke will describe three lessons learned in addressing the grand challenges as a human systems engineer. She will share how a trip to Medellin, Colombia taught her how multiple disciplines can come together to use technology to address societal transformation.
