You’re invited to submit inventive and compelling ideas about changes that could create a better world — and earn a scholarship!

The Reimagine Challenge 2020 will award $25,000 to 20 undergraduate or graduate students, plus an additional $25,000 to the institution in which they are enrolled. This is a competitive scholarship, with two rounds of vetting before winners are selected and announced.

Virtual office hours are available on a limited basis for interested students wanting support or feedback on their submission materials, to address questions and inquiries regarding the challenge, or for additional insight and perspective into the funder.

Recognize the fantastic work being done at the Fulton Schools and ASU! The ASU Committee for Campus Inclusion is accepting nominations for the 2020 CCI Catalyst Awards honoring individuals, groups, teams organizations/units and programs that have catalyzed change by fostering and promoting diversity and inclusion at ASU and beyond.

Submit a nomination by Wednesday, October 7, 2020!

Nominations may be submitted by any member of the ASU community. Award decisions are made by the Committee for Campus Inclusion Executive Board.

Nominations are evaluated for contributions by faculty, staff, student (undergraduate/graduate) student organization or team, employee organization or team, and university programs.

All nominees will be recognized and recipients will be announced via Zoom at the CCI Awards Ceremony in October 2020.

Robotics submarine team Desert WAVE places second at International RoboSub competition

On August 30Desert WAVE team, Arizona State University’s award-winning robotics submarine team, Desert WAVE, competed and won second place overall in the 23rd International RoboSub Competition.

In lieu of an in-person competition, teams were evaluated on a video, website and technical design report. Desert WAVE had top finishes in all of these categories.

Thirty-three teams representing Brazil, Canada, Egypt, India, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Singapore and the United States participated in this year’s competition.

Calling all student entrepreneurs! ASU Innovation Open is awarding more than $300,000 to the top student ventures offering cutting-edge hardware solutions, IoT innovations and social equity enterprises. On Friday, February 5, 2021, the world’s top student ventures can compete to win grand prizes up to $100k.

ASU Innovation Open, or ASUio, was designed to fuel multidisciplinary teams of collegiate founders to harness the power of entrepreneurship to tackle the world’s most challenging problems. Our competition values university-supported technologies and the scientists, artists, engineers, enterprisers and designers who develop them. We view collegiate entrepreneurs as elite athletes who must demonstrate perseverance, hustle and teamwork to change the world. And that’s exactly what they’re doing.
