The DOD College Acquisition Internship Program (DCAIP) is a paid, 10-week summer internship that provides students with real-world exposure to Department of Defense acquisition workforce career opportunities. The Office of Human Capital Initiatives will implement workforce strategies, policies and procedures that position the DOD to attract and retain the most competent professionals, to guarantee that the AWF is highly skilled and trained to meet current and future needs, and that DOD acquisition professionals share a culture that is dedicated to excellence. SolarSPELL is seeking a web developer intern to help create modules for SolarSPELL digital library. The web developer will also utilize a variety of markup languages to develop and modify web pages for our library modules. They will be working closely with SolarSPELL’s software development team to work on several projects as assigned. We are looking for someone who is passionate about using their technical skills to change lives!
SolarSPELL is an offline, digital library initiative at Arizona State University that provides localized educational information and the training to build 21st-century skills in offline environments that may lack electricity, internet connectivity, and/or traditional libraries. We work with in-field partners, like the Peace Corps and the UN Refugee Agency, to build local capacities and ensure long-term, sustainable impact. Users connect to the SolarSPELL offline, digital library over Wi-Fi, using any Wi-Fi-enabled device (smartphones, tablets, laptops) to freely, and safely, surf thousands of resources that are carefully curated and continually improved to meet local information needs.
