Are you enrolled in summer or fall classes and looking for a way to make money this summer? The Fulton Summer Academy is looking for program counselors!
Counselors support the camp instructor in facilitating the program curriculum and activities for elementary and middle school summer programs and ensure that the participants enjoy a safe, positive experience. Program counselors assist in the classroom, during drop off and pick up, lunchtime, bathroom breaks and field trips.
This program runs Monday, June 4, 2018, through Friday, July 27, 2018. You will be working at the engineering facilities at the Tempe or Polytechnic campus, and off-campus destinations occasionally, with children first through twelfth grade.
Counselors will be paid a stipend of $500 per week for full day camps (8 a.m.–5 p.m.), and/or $250 per week for half day camps (8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.).
Desired qualifications include:
- being an undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing
- the ability to positively engage participants in summer program activities
- passing the background clearance provided by ASU
- prior K-12 experience
- ability to attend the required training session Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 4 p.m.–6 p.m.
