Your blood donation is a fabulous help for patients. Every drop of blood you give can bring a glimmer of hope to patients in fights for their lives against terrible diseases. Register online for an appointment (using sponsor code P131A) and become a hero for someone in need on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

The current state of blood supply is critical: 

• There is less than a four-day supply of most blood types and less than two-days’ supply of type O, the most transfused blood type. Type O is at its lowest level.
• Hospital demand outpacing incoming donations and competition for donors’ free time are contributing factors to the shortage.
• About 1,000 additional donations each week are needed to replenish the blood supply.
• Eligible donors are urged to make and keep an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome.
