A view of TEDI London with art on the wall that says, "Think you know engineering? Think again. FUTURE ENGINEER."

Are you ready to dive into a transformative engineering experience that goes beyond the classroom? The TEDI-London Summer Experience invites you to challenge yourself, collaborate with global peers and tackle real-world problems in an innovative, hands-on way.

What is the TEDI-London Summer Experience?

TEDI-London offers a distinctive, interdisciplinary approach to engineering education — one that focuses on project-based learning and global design thinking. During this immersive summer program, you’ll work on advanced industry challenges co-designed with employers, giving you the chance to develop solutions that could make a real-world impact. The TEDI-London Summer Experience starts online for the first three weeks, building the foundation of the summer project brief. After the three weeks working online, participants are ready to engage with their team members in person in London for three weeks to propose a solution to the summer’s challenge. Participants will be conducting research into relevant technologies, data and design approaches; defining the issues that need consideration; and prototyping in the TEDI-London makerspaces. Teams are supported by workshop sessions and mentorship by captains of industry and prototyping experts. Final projects will be presented to participants’ peers, industry partners, local community members and TEDI-London staff in a demo day at the end of the program.

TEDI-London’s summer school 2025 students will be given the challenge to investigate and propose innovative solutions regarding transport in and around Canada Water — London’s first new town center in 50 years. As part of a dynamic, hands-on design sprint, you’ll collaborate with fellow students to develop innovative systems, products or services that support the future of smart, sustainable cities.
