Attend the Michael Goryll Memorial Event, Oct. 6

A portrait of Michael Goryll

Please join the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering and the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering as we gather to honor the life, legacy and lasting impact of Michael Goryll. A respected educator, researcher, mentor, and colleague, Michael touched the lives of countless students, alumni, faculty, staff and collaborators through his dedication, kindness and passion for engineering.

This memorial event will provide an opportunity for the ASU community, friends, family and colleagues to come together to celebrate Michael’s contributions, share memories and stories and reflect on the profound influence he had on those around him. The program will include remarks from colleagues and members of the community, followed by time for fellowship and remembrance.

The event begins at 4 p.m., with a brief formal program starting at 4:15 p.m. Following the program, refreshments will be served and attendees will have an opportunity to connect and share memories.

We welcome all who knew Michael, worked with him, learned from him or were inspired by his example to join us as we celebrate a life that left an enduring mark on our community. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance to help us plan for the event.

If you have memories, stories, photos or thoughts you would like to share, please submit them through our Kudoboard.

Please note that submissions may be incorporated into memorial event materials, including presentations, displays, printed commemorative items or shared with Michael’s family as part of the remembrance activities.
