Help solve challenges in semiconductor manufacturing, design and materials, apply by Oct. 14

Fulton Schools students are invited to help solve real-world engineering challenges — and earn a $7,500 stipend — in the ASU-TSMC Accelerated Master’s Pathway, a program offered in collaboration with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, or TSMC.
Student researchers must be Fulton Schools students in good academic standing and currently enrolled in their master’s year as part of an Accelerated Master’s program.
Faculty mentors must be faculty with an appointment in the Fulton Schools. They must also not be on sabbatical, leave or extended vacation during the funded semester. Graduate students may not serve as faculty mentors.
Preference will be given to applied, industry-facing graduate projects that advance areas such as power electronics, wireless and mixed-signal circuit design, memory devices and architectures, solar energy and batteries, advanced packaging and new semiconductor materials.
Funded projects must be completed during one semester. Student researchers will continue working on the same project topic, and no changes will be permitted, other than a change in mentorship.
Required deliverables:
- Completed applied project.
- Professional engineering deliverables, including a final report on completed work and research findings.
- Semiconductor industry portfolio.
- Participation in TSMC Day, including a project presentation.
- Direct engagement with TSMC staff.
