Study abroad In Taiwan this June with the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering!
The History and Technology of Microelectronics study abroad program reviews the history of integrated circuit development starting with the invention of the transistor in 1947 through the dramatic expansion of the industry in Silicon Valley to the rise of Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China. In addition, this course explains how transistors operate and how they are fabricated at a level suitable for all engineers, not just electrical engineers. There will be a tour of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. and guest speakers from engineering companies and universities in Taiwan. You will be able to learn Chinese culture and interact with locals.
Dates for the 2024 Summer program are Saturday, June 1, 2024–Sunday, June 16, 2024.
