Microcredentials offer career boosts for ASU students

Enhance your academic journey with the Fulton Schools stackable microcredentials, a cutting-edge approach to learning designed to align your skills with the dynamic needs of today’s workforce. Taught by ASU faculty and industry experts, these microcredentials offer flexible, targeted learning experiences in emerging technologies like smart manufacturing, robotics and automation.
The Southwest Advanced Prototyping Hub, or SWAP Hub, offers a limited number of scholarships to complete select micro-badges, fully covering the program fee for a limited number of students per micro-badge.
Check out courses like:
- Ultrasonic testing one and two program: This program includes industrial ultrasonic testing one and two badges, providing 80 hours of American Society for Nondestructive Testing-recognized ultrasonic testing level 1 training. Learners gain hands-on experience with ultrasonic testing equipment, mastering weld inspection, defect detection and ultrasonic testing system operation for industries like aerospace, oil and gas.
- Modeling and control of robots for manufacturing automation: Dive into robotics for manufacturing with modules on kinematics, dynamics, controls and MATLAB/Simulink applications.
- Microcontroller applications: Learn to integrate sensors and actuators for practical applications, including assistive technology solutions using microcontrollers.
