ASU Library participates in new AI search program

AI-generated computer chip

ASU Library is happy to announce their participation for the beta of the new Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, or IEEE, Xplore artificial intelligence, or AI, Research Suite. ASU Library is excited to have the ASU engineering community test out the new features and provide feedback to enable optimization of the research experience for IEEE users.

View the AI Search user guide.

The IEEE Xplore AI Research Suite provides a new set of AI-powered features that enhance a user’s experience with IEEE Xplore. These features allow users to easily search and discover articles of interest from both IEEE and other STEM publishers, accelerate their understanding of individual papers and gain new insights. This solution offers powerful research tools that enable natural language queries, an AI-powered search that delivers relevant and accurate results with:

  • Time-saving summary overviews.
  • AI-generated topic and article summaries.
  • In-context definitions to help researchers grasp new concepts faster.
  • In-platform notations to align with the researcher’s workflow.

As you test these new features, please take note of what you like, what could be improved or what you might want to see in the future. ASU Library will share an IEEE survey link in the near future for you to provide feedback.

IEEE is hosting an overview webinar of these features, exclusively for beta participants on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, 9–10 a.m. The session will be recorded if you are unable to attend. Please email Cat Dinh at [email protected] for login details if you would like to attend live.
